The suburbs of Paphos are also becoming increasingly popular. Coral Bay, Saint George and Peyia village, just 20min west-drive from Paphos are ideal locations for new villa byers. Visit Saint George for a unique experience of colors and enjoy swimming in isolated non crowded beaches. Imagine olive and orange trees blending with banana plantations in a magnificent view of sea and mountain. Take a walk or drive to Peyia or Kathikas villages for unforgettable sunset views.
Akamas Penicula, a national park is only few miles away from Paphos town, and 5 minutes away from S. George area. Drive or take a long walk through the park and enjoy the many isolated beaches along the coast. Or, if you fancy crowded beaches and you always wanted to try those sea water sports, go to Coral Bay one of the best beaches in Cyprus.
Near Peyia village, the sandy Coral Bay Beach attracts many tourists as well as locals during the bathing season. The blue-flag beach is easily reached by car, motorbike, bicycle and bus and offers a variety of water sports.
Other suburban locations are gaining attention in the last few years. Mostly located on the lower slopes of the hills that rise gently from Paphos, these areas have wonderful sea views, and are only a short drive from the town centre. Popular suburban retreats include Peyia, Tala, Konia, Anavargos, Yeroskipou, Agia Varvara and Kouklia. There are also many quieter rural villages a little further outside Paphos, including Tsada, Kathikas, Stroumpi and Polemi. |
